March 20 marks the celebration of the International Day of La Francophonie, established in 1970 in Niamey (Niger) by the Agency of Cultural and Technical Cooperation, which later became the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. On this day, 54 states and governments around the world highlight the importance of the French language and organize various festivities.
