Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA)

OPL protects the privacy and confidentiality of all customers’ personal information in keeping with the access to information and privacy provisions of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.56 (MFIPPA) and other applicable legislation. Inquiries may be made using the below form or by emailing OPL-MFIPPA@ottawa.ca.

There is a mandatory $5 application fee for each MFIPPA request. This fee can be paid at any OPL location, or a cheque can be mailed to the MFIPPA Coordinator, Ottawa Public Library, 120 Metcalfe Street, Ottawa, ON K1P 5M2 or 613-580-2424 x32312.

There is no application fee for a request to make a correction to your own personal information.
