Running throughout July and August, OPL’s Teen Staycation series brings teen-focused programs both in the branches and online. This summer break, teens can explore new interests, connect with others, unleash their creativity, and enjoy a season full of fun and discovery and adventure.
“Branches get to know their teen clients during the school year and will ask for their input on summer programming. Nobody knows what teens want to see better than the teens themselves,” says Katherine, Program Developer at OPL.
From hands-on activities to unique experiences led by community partners and staff, every program offers a chance to try something different or find something that just fits.
For Daisy, a teenager, it became much more than a summer activity:
“Teen Staycation Programming introduced me to some of my favourite people. I wouldn't have discovered the extent of my love for the library if not for Teen Staycation programming a few years ago.”
