Spring is in full bloom! With just a few weeks left in the school year, children are buzzing with excitement and can’t wait for summer vacation to begin. Parents, it's the perfect time to start planning activities to fill those summer days with your kids. And what better place than the Library to have fun while learning?
This summer, from June 26 to August 30, the Library invites families on a free trip around the world with a variety of dynamic and interactive literacy-based activities.
Looking for ways to keep your kids engaged, inspired, and having fun this summer?
There are a variety of programs to choose from. Through interactive and engaging activities, your little ones will be encouraged to explore the world around them, connect with nature, dive into hands-on STEAM activities, express themselves through art, and move to the rhythm of music — all in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.
There’s always something exciting happening, from special guest presenters from local museums to live animal encounters, magical shows, and even world dance workshops. These unique experiences spark curiosity and creativity while keeping your little ones happily busy.
And the fun goes on with seasonal-themed storytimes and games that will help your kids build friendships, discover new interests, and grow in confidence — all while having a blast.
Don’t forget — the TD Summer Reading Club is back!
As always, the Library is thrilled to encourage young readers with the chance to win a fantastic prize. Kids who take on the challenge of reading throughout the summer will receive a reading notebook and calendar to record their reading dates. It’s a fun and motivating way to keep those reading skills sharp while school’s out!
Be sure to submit completed calendar ballots by August 30 — the prize draw will happen at the end of the program.
It’s a great opportunity to make reading a part of your child’s summer adventure!
Registration opens June 9. Parents — mark your calendars and enjoy the final stretch of the school year!
