OPL will be at the Street Fair on Bank Street from on August 23 and 24, where our friendly staff will be sharing personalized book recommendations for readers of all ages and interests. Whether you're looking for heartfelt memoirs, bold fiction, or inspiring children's stories, we've got something for everyone.
OPL is proud to march in the Capital Pride Parade on August 24. Join in this celebration of love and inclusivity with thousands of community members and hundreds of community organizations.

Discover powerful stories and vibrant voices from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community through book lists created by OPL librarians. These collections include picture books, teen reads, adult fiction, and nonfiction that reflect the richness and diversity of queer experiences. In alignment with the principles of intellectual freedom, these selections affirm every individual's right to seek out, access, and engage with a broad spectrum of ideas and perspectives. By celebrating diverse identities and narratives, OPL upholds the freedom to read.
