International Day of Pink

Each year on the second Wednesday of April, people across Canada and beyond mark the International Day of Pink—a day to stand up against bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and all forms of discrimination. It's also a time to show support for the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community and reflect on the work still ahead to build a more inclusive society.

Reading can be a powerful tool for understanding and empathy.

Ottawa Public Library has curated a booklist for children and teens that explores this topic.

Each year on the second Wednesday of April, millions of people wear pink and take a stand and raise awareness to stop all forms of bullying against members of the LGBTQ2SIA+ communities. OPL has many books for children and teens that deal with this topic. Below is a list of our recommendations.
